Joanne C. Rodgers has been a registered nurse for over thirty-five years. Her practice areas include: life care planning, medical cost projections, medical bill reviews, as well as case management. Ms. Rodgers completed her life care planning coursework with FIG Services and is certified as a Nurse Life Care Planner (CNLCP) by the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planners. She is also certified as a Certified Professional Coder by the AAPC. Ms. Rodgers holds a B.S. in Nursing and a M.S. in Nursing from the University of Rochester. During her Master’s program, Ms. Rodgers specialized as a Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist.
Prior to forming Focus Life Care Consulting, Ms. Rodgers worked for three years as a legal nurse consultant, specializing in medical malpractice, personal injury, product liability and immunization cases. Ms. Rodgers has also taught clinical and classroom instruction to nursing students at both Fairleigh Dickinson University and Dover Business College.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Rodgers worked as a Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist at Westchester County Medical Center, The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City and Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey. Her clinical work has focused on clients with chronic illnesses. Ms. Rodgers followed her clients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, coordinating her clients’ multidisciplinary needs. Prior to the completion of her Master’s degree, Ms. Rodgers was a registered nurse at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.
